Description

“I’ve been drawing since I can remember. I studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, in Sassari, but I always preferred paper instead of canvas. Then one day I received a graphic tablet as a present and that’s how I discovered digital drawings. I like working on digital, as well as on paper with watercolour and ink. I like drawing all the time and everywhere, I think of it a bit like a continuous storytelling, exploration and documentation of what I see around me. I can’t stop doing it!”

How did you find yourself in Berlin?

I’ve been living and working in Berlin for 4 years. When I graduated from Uni I was confused. The only thing I knew was that I had to leave Italy if I wanted to continue my “artistic experience“, as well as growing up as person. My first idea was to move to France, but I didn’t have enough money. I knew that in Berlin the contemporary art scene was dynamic, and the rent prices were still cheap, so I decided to move here. I had never been before. I learnt German here in Berlin, and now my German is better than my English! There’s not enough room in my brain for two foreign languages but I try to use both of them in my work. Sometimes I draw typical scenarios inspired from my life in Berlin, then it’s natural for me to decide to write in German. Generally I prefer English so most people are able to understand my pieces.
