Woyzeck Überschreiben by Sebastian Blasius and Daniel Franz

For the first time ARTCONNECT BERLIN dedicates a spotlight to the multifarious off-theater-scene in Berlin. On March  23rd WOYZECK ÜBERSCHREIBEN, the new production of Sebastian Blasius (director) and Daniel Franz (dramaturg), will have its premiere at the Theaterdiscounter, one of the numerous stages of Berlin´s off-scene. The two former students of practical theatre studies in Gießen are exploring the borders of the genres theatre, dance, and performance, and for their first production in Berlin they picked  Georg Büchner´s “Woyzeck” as well as several former enactments of the material as the starting point for their (re-)search of what it means to be a subject, and what influence absence and loss could have. They are currently producing in the Uferstudios in Wedding with 4 dancers and a small artistical team…
