Jose Romussi, Dance // Exhibition at Artconnect Berlin // Opening on FRIDAY

Another weekend is starting soon and we want to provide you with some fresh events coming directly out of Berlin’s creative community. Only a few more days until Christmas… we know, we all are getting a bit tired of working and looking forward to the holidays! Enjoy your weekend by meeting your friends, decorating the Xmas tree, baking some Christmas biscuits and sharing some love at our highly recommened Artconnect Berlin events!

THURSDAY Today is the last SCOPE SESSION in 2012 at Panke with Jemma Woolmore, Zan Lyons and Onyx Ashanti. Scope is a meeting point for the creative and the curious, a platform for sharing and learning in an informal setting. Guest artists are invited to present a project, a concept, a process or an experience. The presentations are short, around 40 minutes and unrestricted in form. Each session offers a variety of topics and approaches. Also we recommend a guided tour at mindpirates through the exhibition of Ralf Schmerberg.

FRIDAY Please join us for our exhibition opening of Jose Romussi at Artconnect Berlin HQ on Friday! The Chilean artist is not only his gracious ballerinas – and he wants to make that clear in his new exhibition at Artconnect Berlin. Here you will find a big variety of his artworks – following his delicate, precise and colourful style, no matter the media, all artworks are equally seductive: videos, collages, embroidered pictures and calligraphy written with coloured pins. Of course we will offer delicious drinks and snacks. See you there!

SATURDAY Please dont miss out the exhibition opening at Galerie Rolando Anselmi “The Demon Love”, it is the first solo show of Flemish artist Jan Van Oost in the gallery space in Berlin. A selection of his major sculptures from the nineties will be displayed in the space, together with some significant drawings from the “Baudelaire” and the “De Sade-Pasolini” cycles. Check out SALON REVOLUTIONÄR by Platoon Kunsthalle, it is a vibrant and surprising series of performance events, combining elements of modern dance, media arts, music, projection mapping and role playing games. In the second edition experimental total art performing night they present GEBILDE.

SUNDAY Take your afternoon and visit the ESDIP indoor market HIBERNATION to support small creative businesses and in the evening C/O Berlin is showing the film “In No Great Hurry. 13 Lessons in Life with Saul Leiter by Thomas Tomas Leach about contemporary photography, entry is 5 Euro. After this you can go to the concert of Red Kross playing at Magnet powered by our friends from Puschen.
